Funimation to Stream A Certain Scientific Railgun S Sequel Anime

North American anime distributor Funimation announced on Thursday that it has acquired streaming rights to A Certain Scientific Railgun S (Toaru Kagaku no Railgun S). Funimation will stream the series on Sundays starting on April 14 at 11:30 a.m. EDT.
The sequel series will follow the Sisters arc from the source material. Tatsuyuki Nagai is directing the sequel at J.C. Staff. Seishi Minakami is in charge of the series scripts, and Yūichi Tanaka is adapting Kiyotaka Haimura's original character designs for anime. Rina Satō, Satomi Arai, Aki Toyosaki, and Kanae Itō are reprising their roles as Mikoto Misaka, Kuroko Shirai, Kazari Uiharu, and Ruiko Saten, respectively.
The anime will premiere in Japan on April 12 on AT-X and Tokyo MX.
Funimation will release the first series with an English dub in two DVD boxsets on April 16.
