Appleseed XIII TV Anime's English Dub Trailer Streamed

13-episode series to ship in DVD/BD combo pack on June 4
North American distributor FUNimation Entertainment began streaming an English dub trailer for its upcoming release of Appleseed XIII on Tuesday. The trailer previews the dub cast, which stars David Matranga as Briareos and Luci Christian as Deunan Knute.
Appleseed XIII is a 2011 13-episode direct-to-video retelling of Masamune Shirow's Appleseed future paramilitary manga, separate from Kazuyoshi Katayama's previous original video anime and Shinji Aramaki's two computer-animated movies. Funimation describes the series as follows:
In the wake of destruction from a worldwide non-nuclear war, the city of Olympus has become the control center of the world. As humanity adopts biological enhancements in attempts to achieve perfection, a terrorist organization uprises to prevent what could be the eventual extinction of the human race. Two former LAPD SWAT members join a special mech-piloting, military force to take down the leader of the terrorist organization.
Funimation will release the series in limited-edition DVD/Blu-ray Disco combo pack for US$69.98 on June 4. A regular edition DVD/Blu-ray Disc combo pack will also ship on June 4 for US$64.98.
