Game Developer Milestone Closes Website After President's Arrest

Japanese game developer Milestone has shut down its official website after the arrest of its president Hiroshi Kimura on March 5. According to police, Kimura and the other suspect, Yoshiharu Tanabe, admitted to charges of violating the Financial Instruments and Exchange Act.
Kimura and Tanabe allegedly caused 700 million yen (about US$7.4 million) in damages after selling low-interest bonds in the bioethanol company MS Bio Energy. According to Hiroshima prefectural police, the alleged crimes affected about 100 citizens in 36 prefectures across Japan.
Several Milestone titles were released in North America including Chaos Field, Tank Beat, and Ultimate Shooting Collection.
