Takeshi Mori (Vandread, Stratos 4, Gunsmith Cats) wrote the screenplay and directed the 1995 series, Toshihisa Kaiya (Robotics;Notes, Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex) designed the characters and directed the animation, and Masamichi Amano (Battle Royale, Urotsukidoji: Legend of the Overfiend, Giant Robo) handled the music.
The series, based on Kunihiko Tanaka's two-volume Hikyō Tanken Fam & Ihrlie manga, centers on the titular women Fam and Ihrlie, two magic users who are competing with others to find the "Ultimate Power" by searching out three relics.
