JoJo's Bizarre Adventure Manga Gets Limited Artbook Collection Set
posted on by Crystalyn Hodgkins
Shueisha will release an artbook collection box set for Hirohiko Araki's JoJo's Bizarre Adventure manga on September 19. The "Jojoveller" box set will include an artbook, two supplementary books, and two Blu-ray Discs. The 208-page, full color artbook will contain a new cover image drawn specifically for the collection, and will also feature images from the 2012 exhibition in Tokyo, as well as commentary from Araki. The supplementary books will include a "Stand Book" encyclopedia on all the Stands featured in the franchise, and a "History Book" that will also feature a previously-untold story.
The collection, which is being released as a part of the 25th anniversary celebrations for the manga, will be made to order, and pre-orders will be open through May 7. The collection will cost 20,000 yen (about US$211). Another collection, without the Blu-ray Discs, will ship in spring 2014 for 8,500 yen (about US$90).
The official YouTube channel for the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure franchise is also currently streaming promotional videos for the upcoming collection. The first video shows a timeline of the franchise, and the other two videos highlight the content on the two Blu-ray Discs. The first disc will include a video of the "Jojo Exhibition 2012" in Tokyo, and the second disc will include a making-of feature, which follows Araki closely for three days while he works.
