Namiuchigiwa no Muromi-san Anime's 1st Promo Streamed
posted on by Joanne Mertz
King Records' Starchild Records label began streaming a promotional video for the new Namiuchigiwa no Muromi-san (Muromi on the Shore) anime series on Wednesday. The video features the theme song "Nanatsu no Umi Yori Kimi no Umi" sung by Sumire Uesaka, who also plays Sumita-san in the series.
The comedy story centers around Muromi-san, a mermaid who happens to speak with a Hakata accent. She is suddenly caught by Takurō, a boy in his high school's fishing club. Nashima launched the manga in Kodansha's Weekly Shōnen Magazine in 2009, and Kodansha published the manga's seventh volume last October.
The cast was announced in January with Yukari Tamura as Muromi-san, Takahiro Mizushima as Takurō Mukōjima, Hitomi Harada as Fuji-san, Kanako Sakai as Harpy, Ai Nonaka as Hii-chan, and Chiwa Saitō as Yeti.
The anime will air on late-night slots from April 6 on TOKYO MX, MBS, TVK, TV Aichi, TVQ, and BS11.
