When asked in an ICv2 interview on Friday about new manga he is excited about from Dark Horse Comics this year, Dark Horse Comics CEO Mike Richardson replied:
Well, we're planning to announce a big title at Sakura-Con. We have new CLAMP titles, something from Kazuo Koike that's very close, and of course books by creators such as Amano and Nightow.
Dark Horse Comics is currently publishing CLAMP's Gate 7 manga in North America, as well as reprints of previously-published series such as Angelic Layer and Tokyo Babylon. The company is also currently publishing omnibus volumes of Yasuhiro Nightow's Trigun Maximum manga, and is also releasing Nightow's Blood Blockade Battlefront series and the one-volume Trigun: Multiple Bullets anthology.
Dark Horse released Yoshitaka Amano's Deva Zan novel in January, and plans to release a slipcase edition of The Sky: The Art of Final Fantasy later this year. The publisher has already released a number Koike series such as Lone Wolf and Cub, Path of the Assassin, and Crying Freeman.
Richardson did not confirm if the books from Amano and Nightow mentioned were previously-revealed titles or titles to be announced.
