posted on by Lynzee Loveridge
The Monday edition of the financial newspaper Nikkei is reporting that Namco Bandai Games' Idolm@ster franchise earns over 10 billion yen (about US$108 million) in tie-ins, thanks to the franchise's expansion into concerts, CD sales, and other fields.
Namco Bandai Games released Idolmaster Cinderella Girls in 2011, and Nikkei reported the mobile game earned 1 billion yen (US$12.9 million) a month in 2012. The five individual characters' singles ranked in Oricon's top 10 rankings for weekly CD single sales for the week of their release last April.
