GameStop CFO Rob Lloyd announced at the Goldman Sachs Technology and Internet Conference in California that 250 of the game retailer's stores will close this year, while 60-70 will open in new locations. The company also acquired 40 shuttered GAME stores in France. Overall, the company will lose about 2 per cent of its physical presence.
The company's head of digital ventures Chris Petrovic resigned from his position earlier this week.
