Indomina Releasing Shuts Down N. American Operations
posted on by Karen Ressler
American/Dominican Republic company Indomina Group, which previously announced its intent to produce a live-action Afro Samurai film, is suspending the operations of its Indomina Releasing distribution division in North America. 15 jobs in Los Angeles will be affected, but the company denied rumors that the stateside office will be shut down completely. Indomina Group plans to focus on the production of films from its facilities in the Dominican Republic.
Indomina announced in July 2011 that it would be producing a live-action adaptation of Afro Samurai with Samuel L. Jackson and Gonzo. Filming was originally scheduled to begin in the Dominican Republic in 2012. Indomina has not made any further announcements about the development of the film on its official website or the film's official website.
