The 9th volume of the manga adaptation of Toshihiko Tsukiji's Kämpfer light novel series with art by Yû Tachibana revealed that the manga will end in the 10th volume. Media Factory's Comic Alive magazine has been serializing the manga since 2008. Media Factory released the 9th volume in the series on Wednesday.
The Kämpfer light novels received two anime adaptations in 2009 and 2011. Sentai Filmworks released the first series in North America in 2011, and will release the two-episode Kämpfer für die Liebe anime project later this year.
The story of Toshihiko Tsukiji 's original Kämpfer light novel series centers on Natsuru Senō, an ordinary high school boy who discovers that he has been involuntarily chosen to participate in battles as a "Kämpfer." Moreover, he must have the body of a girl to use his powers in battle.
Tokyopop had licensed the manga series in 2010 but the company closed down its North American division before releasing the first volume.
