Manga creator Maki Minami is ending her Seiyū ka—! manga series (pictured at right) in this year's fifth issue of Hakusensha's Hana to Yume magazine on February 5. The same issue will also publish the final chapter of Touya Tobina (Jiu Jiu, Clean-Freak Fully-Equipped) and Kakeru Harada's Roppan!! manga (pictured far right).
Minami launched Seiyū ka—! in 2009. The coming-of-age story revolves around Hime Kino, a 15-year-old freshman girl who pursues her dream of becoming a voice actress by enrolling in Hiiragi Academy's seiyū course. Hime dreams of one day playing the heroine in her favorite (fictional) anime, Mahō Senshi Lovely Blazers (Magical Fighter Lovely Blazers).
The series' 11th volume will ship in Japan on February 20.
Viz Media published Minami's S.A. (Special A) manga in North America. The manga was adapted into a television anime that Sentai Filmworks released in North America in 2009.
Hakusensha published the second volume of Roppan!! in Japan in November. The manga centers on six student members of the "roppan" group at a prestigious private elementary school for for upperclass children in Tokyo. Viz Media is publishing Jiu Jiu in North America, and Tokyopop published Tobina's earlier two-volume Clean-Freak Fully-Equipped manga series.
