posted on by Egan Loo
TV Tokyo announced on Monday that the third Pretty Rhythm anime television series will premiere on April 6. The third series is titled Pretty Rhythm Rainbow Live and will run every Saturday at 10:00 a.m. (just as the previous series did).
The first anime series, Pretty Rhythm Aurora Dream, adapted Takara Tomy's Pretty Rhythm Mini-Skirt arcade game for girls and premiered in 2011. In the story, Rizumu Amamiya and Aira Harune aspire to compete in Prism Show, a new sport that combines skating, dancing, and singing.
The second anime series, Pretty Rhythm Dear My Future, takes place three years after the first series. Pretty Rhythm Aurora Dream's heroines have grown up and tutor a new group of aspiring idols. A five-member Korean girl group, composed of the Korean idol group Kara's junior members, also appear in the second series.
