Sentai Filmworks Adds Psychic Detective Yakumo TV Anime

North American anime licensing company Sentai Filmworks announced on Friday that it has licensed the Psychic Detective Yakumo television anime series. Sentai Filmworks noted that it plans to release the 13-episode series digitally and on subtitled DVD later this year.
The story follow Yakumo (played by Daisuke Ono), a young man who can see the spirits of dead people with his red eyes. He uses this ability as a gift to solve murder cases. The show also stars Ayumi Fujimura as Haruka Ozawa and Akimitsu Takase as Unkai Saitō.
The 2010 series adapts Manabu Kaminaga's novel series of the name name. Tomoyuki Kurokawa (Murder Princess) directed the series, and Hiroyuki Kawasaki (Blade of the Immortal, Ryoko's Case File, Silent Möbius) supervised the series' scripts. Bee Train produced the anime, and R・O・N (Kuroko's Basketball) handled the music.
