Hulu CEO Jason Kilar Resigns
posted on by Lynzee Loveridge
Hulu CEO Jason Kilar resigned his post at the streaming service on Friday. His plans for leaving were previously revealed in a memo that Variety published in August. The memo began, "OUTLINE transition plan for new CEO. Discuss potential candidates and process." Hulu and its parent companies denied at the time that the memo was an indicator of Kilar's plans to leave.
Hulu is currently owned by Disney, NBCUniversal, News, Corp., and other stakeholders. The site streams television and movies in ad-supported and subscription formats, including several anime titles. The site launched in 2007.
