Comic Market 83 Sets Winter Record with 550,000

The Mainichi Shimbun paper's Mantan Web site reported that 210,000 people attended the third day of the Comic Market 83 event on Monday. That led to a three-day total of 550,000 — topping 2010's 520,000 as the highest attendance for a Winter Comic Market.
Last winter's Comic Market 81 had 180,000 people on the third day, while this past summer's Comic Market 82 also had a record 210,000 on the third day.
Next summer's Comic Market 84 will be held from August 10 to August 12.
