Blue Exorcist Film's Pre-Opening Promo Streamed
posted on by Sarah Nelkin
The official website for the Blue Exorcist movie began streaming a new promotional video for the film before it opens in theaters throughout Japan on Friday. The video poses the question: "Should one slay, or save? The time of reckoning that will sway destiny." The video also features the theme song "Reversi" from UVERworld, the band who also performed for the Blue Exorcist television anime series.
This is the first film inspired by Kazue Katō's supernatural manga. Rie Kugimiya will be playing a new character, the cute-looking boy demon Usamaro that the main character Rin meets. Hidenobu Kiuchi will play Cheng-Long Liu, a high-level exorcist from Taiwan. While supplies last, 500,000 moviegoers nationwide will receive a Blue Exorcist fortune figure, while 100,000 moviesgoers will receive a New Year's greeting card with an exclusive illustration by Kato.
