Takarajimasha Inc. shipped the 2013 edition of the Kono Manga ga Sugoi! guidebook on Monday with its list of the top titles in four categories. The lists are the result of surveys conducted among professionals in the fields of manga and publishing.

The Kono Manga ga Sugoi! 2013 book also features interviews with the winning authors. The book also has a feature where 33 different manga creators answer questions such as "What manga are you taking an interest in right now," "What manga did you read that you hid from your parents," and "What manga would you like to try to write next?"
Last year, Masaru Miyazaki and Kōji Yoshimoto's Black Jack Sōsaku Hiwa ~Tezuka Osamu no Shigoto-ba Kara~ topped the Male Readers list, and Etsuko Mizusawa and Masayuki Kusumi's Hana no Zubora-Meshi topped the Female Readers list. Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump topped the Manga Magazines for Male Readers list, and Shodensha's Feel Young topped the Manga Magazines for Female Readers list.
