Attack on Titan/Shingeki no Kyojin TV Anime Briefly Listed
posted on by Egan Loo
The official website for Kodansha's Bessatsu Shōnen Magazine briefly listed a television anime adaptation of Hajime Isayama's Attack on Titan (Shingeki no Kyojin) manga, although the listing has since been removed. According to the listing, the anime will premiere next spring.
The manga depicts the battles between humans and the man-eating giants who now rule the world. Isayama launched the manga in Bessatsu Shōnen Magazine in 2009. The manga has become a sleeper hit, and Kodansha USA is publishing the manga for North America.
Kodansha confirmed last year that a film adaptation will open in Japan in fall of 2013 or later. Director Tetsuya Nakashima (Kamikaze Girls, Confessions, Paco and the Magical Picture Book) began shooting the live-action film this year.
