The IDOLM@STER Anim@tion Master Namassuka Special 01 wins design award

Columbia Music Entertainment announced on Thursday that The IDOLM@STER Anim@tion Master Namassuka Special 01 album has won a design award in the 54th Japan Record Awards. The award recognizes an album's creative design work and its contributions to music culture.

The album features songs and talks by The IDOLM@STER characters Miki Hoshii (voiced by Akiko Hasegawa), Takane Shijō (voiced by Yumi Hara), and Hibiki Ganaha (voiced by Manami Numakura). Columbia had released the album on August 15.

The official ceremony for the awards will take place at the end of the year.

Last year, AKB48's "Flying Get" single for the Hana Zakari no Kimi-tachi e ~Ikemen Paradise 2011 live-action drama won the ceremony's top honor.

Columbia also announced that it has shipped more than 2 million Idolm@ster-related music, video, and game products. To celebrate this achievement, Columbia will host an event starting on November 27. Those who purchase 2,000-yen (about US$24) worth of selected Idolm@ster-related merchandise online or at certain shops will receive one of 12 different stickers.
