Ishida to Asakura Gag Comedy Manga Gets TV Anime (Updated)
posted on by Egan Loo
The January 2013 issue of Shonengahosha's Monthly Young King magazine is announcing on Monday that a television anime adaptation of Masao's Ishida to Asakura gag comedy manga has been green-lit. The anime will premiere next January.
The surreal comedy manga centers around the friendship of high school boys. Masao became popular on the pixiv art community before debuting as a professional manga creator with this manga. The first two chapters were adapted into a voice drama on the niconico service.
The manga debuted in both the main Young King magazine and Monthly Young King last year, and it ended after 15 installments in the September 2012 issue on July 19. Shonengahosha will publish the second compiled book volume with a previously unpublished ending on December 19.

Update: More information added. The co-lead Asakura "wants to become a teacher at a girls' school in the future" while Ishida "wants to become a florist with Asakura in the future." The February 2013 issue of Monthly Young King will bundle a booklet with an exclusive manga to celebrate the anime adaptation.
