Eagle Talon/Thermae Romae's Frogman, TMS Make Lupin III Parody Anime

FROGMAN, the Flash animator best known for comedy works such as Eagle Talon and Thermae Romae, is collaborating with TMS Entertainment on Lupin Shanshei, a series of 10 shorts parodying the popular classic anime Lupin III. The "Lupin Shanshei" title is a wordplay on the Japanese pronunciation of Monkey Punch's thief character Lupin III, "Rupan Sansei."
FROGMAN is not only directing the anime, but also writing the scripts, designing the characters, and voicing the four main roles by himself. The episodes are each about four minutes long and have titles like "Shingeki no Lupin" (Charging Lupin), "Saitō Lupin," "Lupiki," "Yōkai Ningen Lupin" (Spirit Human Lupin), and "Nettaisei Lupin" (Tropical Lupin).
TMS Entertainment, the production company behind the Lupin III anime franchise, is also producing this parody in cooperation with FROGMAN'S studio DLE Inc.
All 10 episodes will be available on DVD and Blu-ray Disc on December 19. The DVD will cost 2,980 yen (about US$37), while the Blu-ray Disc will cost 3,990 yen (about US$50).
