Hunter × Hunter: Phantom Rouge Film's Trailer Previewed

Part of the latest trailer for the Hunter × Hunter: Phantom Rouge film debuted during Sunday's airing of the Hunter × Hunter television anime. Sunday's episode 53 also had a special limited-time version of the opening animation sequence. The film will center around the character Kurapika, who became a hunter to seek revenge on the Phantom Troupe for the massacre of his clan.
The trailer promises that the mystery of the massacre will be revealed, and it shows Omokage, the person with the No. 4 spider tattoo who is also being revealed in this year's 48th issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine this week.
The film, the first in the Hunter x Hunter franchise, will open in theaters in Japan on January 12, 2013. Theaters will begin selling tickets on November 3, and while supplies last, tickets will come with 50,000 original clear file folders in three styles.
Yoshihiro Togashi's original manga has 60 million copies in circulation, and it already inspired two television series.
