Fairy Tail Film's Prologue Manga Gets Anime Also
posted on by Egan Loo
Fairy Tail manga creator Hiro Mashima announced on Friday that "Hajimari no Asa" (The First Morning), the prologue manga he drew for the Fairy Tail: Hōō no Miko (Fairy Tail: Priestess of the Phoenix) film, will get an anime adaptation. The staff that animated Fairy Tail: Hōō no Miko will animate the prologue manga as well. The "Hajimari no Asa" anime will be a bonus extra for the film's DVD, which will be bundled with a volume of Mashima's manga series next year.
The 30-page "Hajimari no Asa" side-story manga came bundled with advance tickets to the movie, which opened on August 18 in Japan. (The video above advertised the advance tickets with the manga.) Mashima was in charge of story planning and visual design for the film's all-new plot, and he also drafted the guest character designs and image concept art.
