Lumines Creator Leaves Studio for Keio University

Tetsuya Mizuguchi, the creator behind the music games Lumines, Rez,, and Space channel 5, resigned from his position at Q Entertainment on September 30 to teach at Keio University. Mizuguchi is now a professor at Keio University's graduate media design program.
Mizuguchi previously worked at Sega before leaving to form Q Entertainment with other former Sega staffers in 2003. He was selected as Digital 50 (most celebrated 50 digital creators of the world) by The Producers Guild of America (PGA) in 2006.
Q Entertainment CEO Shuji Utsumi added that Mizuguchi will continue as an advisor to Q Entertainment, but there are no current plans for his participation in any future games or sythesia projects.
