Harumi Sakurai Replaces Masako Joh for To Love-Ru Darkness Role

Character Ryōko Mikado's actress goes on maternity leave

The official website for the To Love-Ru -Trouble- Darkness television anime series announced on Monday that voice actress Masako Joh (Rockman.EXE's Roll, Inazuma Eleven's Shourinji Ayumu) has gone on maternity leave.

Joh previously played Ryōko Mikado (Mikado-sensei) in previous To Love-Ru series, but for the To Love-Ru -Trouble- Darkness series, which premiered on October 6, voice actress Harumi Sakurai (Angel Beats!' Yuri Nakamura, Toaru Majutsu no Index II's Awaki Musujime, Queen's Blade: Rebellion's Luna Luna) will voice the part.

After discussing the matter with Joh and her agency, the show's production committee decided that in order to make sure that Joh's health was their first priority, they would change cast members. The committee asked fans to please continue to support Joh, Sakurai, and the show from now on.
