posted on by Egan Loo
The streaming service Crunchyroll announced on Thursday that it will begin streaming the Teekyū television anime series on Sunday, October 14 at 10:00 a.m. EDT. The streams will be available in "North America, South America, Canada [sic], United Kingdom, Ireland, South Africa, Australia, New Zealand, Denmark, Finland, Netherlands, Norway, and Sweden."
The manga centers around a girls' tennis team. (The title is a wordplay on a Japanese term for tennis, teikyū.) However, the four high school girls on the team hardly play any actual tennis.
Piyo launched the manga in Earth Star Entertainment's Comic Earth Star magazine earlier this year. Earth Star Entertainment claims that this is the fastest television anime adaptation ever.
The anime series premiered on the station Tokyo MX TV station on October 7 at 10:27 p.m.
