The Anime Network has removed the first episode of the third To Love-Ru -Trouble- television anime series, To Love-Ru -Trouble- Darkness, after premiering the episode on its website on Thursday evening.
The company has also removed its article announcing that it will be streaming the series, and the show is not listed on the company's show index page.
The Anime Network announced yesterday that it would stream the series on Thursdays starting on October 4 at 9:00 p.m. EDT.
According to the show's official website, the first episode premiered on Japanese television on October 5 at 25:00, or effectively October 6 at 1:00 a.m. (October 5 at 12:00 p.m. EDT).
Sentai Filmworks announced on Thursday that it has acquired the series for digital distribution with a home video release to follow in 2013.
In 2010, the second episode of the Oreimo television anime series was leaked from ANN's servers one day before it premiered in Japan. Similarly, in 2009 the 403rd episode of The One Piece television anime series was also leaked from Funimation's servers one day before the episode premiered in Japan. In 2008, the Bandai Channel had accidentally posted the fourth and final part of the third episode of the Code Geass: Lelouch of the Rebellion R2 television anime series before the episode aired in Japan.
ANN is awaiting The Anime Network's response to a request for comment.
