Middle School Boy Arrested for Falsely Buying Net Game Items

Police in Tochigi Prefecture arrested a 15-year-old third-year middle school boy from Toyohashi City on Wednesday, on suspicion of illegal accessing an online game site to obtain in-game items. The suspect allegedly used his computer to log into the game with the ID and password of a high school boy from Nikko City 13 times.

According to the police, the suspect and the victim knew either other through the game site. The suspect reportedly told the victim that he would exchange virtual goods for points and thus obtained the victim's account information. When the victim could not log into his own account, he contacted his prefecture's police.
