Three Shonen Sunday Manga Come to End
posted on by Ko Ransom
This week's issue of Shogakukan's Shonen Sunday manga magazine features the final chapters of the AKB48 Satsujin Jiken series by Gōshō Aoyama, Yasushi Akimoto, and Masaki Gotō, the Kōtetsu no Hanappashira manga by Hiroyuki Nishimori, and the Koakuma Ouden: Sencolle! manga by Noriyuki Konishi in what is being advertised as a "triple climax."
AKB48 Satsujin Jiken is a tie-in manga series to a recent series of commercials promoting Ezaki Glico's Ice no Mi candy starring members of the all-female AKB48 idol group. A volume collecting the chapters of the manga is scheduled for a September 18 release. The romantic comedy Kōtetsu no Hanappashira began its serialization in the magazine in 2010, and its creator previously penned Cheeky Angel, which was adapted into the Tenshi na Konamaiki television anime series. Koakuma Ouden: Sencolle is a spinoff manga of the Sengoku Collection media franchise and began its serialization earlier this year.
