posted on by Kimberly Grace
Square Enix announced the August 31 release date of its mobile role-playing game Final Fantasy Dimensions for iOS and Android on Wednesday. Though the game was originally released for feature phones, the smartphone version will contain better sound and graphics quality, and add virtual slide pad controls. The game will be split into chapters. The first chapter will cost 250 yen (about US$3). Chapters two through four will be 850 yen (US$11) each, or users can purchase the full game for 2,500 yen (about US$32).
Square Enix describes the game as follows:
Drawing upon the roots of the series with such features as beautiful 2D pixel art, job-driven character growth, additional scenarios in which to inherit the jobs of your adventuring companions, and a classic story of light, darkness, and crystals, Final Fantasy Dimensions delivers the best of Final Fantasy, retro and fresh alike, directly to your smartphone.
