Bakemonogatari Production Note Will Not Be Sold at Retail

Anime studio SHAFT announced that it has no plans to offer the Bakemonogatari Production Note Characters book for sale through general retailers. SHAFT will produce a limited quantity of 6,000 copies.
The production sketch collection will be available in "white" and "red" versions. The "red" version will be sold at Comic Market (Comiket) 82 from August 10 to August 12. The "white" volume will be sold at Kyoto International Manga Anime Fair 2012 next month. The volume will include character designs, Hajime Ueda's ending sequence production materials, and Hiroki Haritama's next-episode preview illustrations. The boxed set will also have one card illustrated by character designer Akio Watanabe and three cards with Ueda's ending sequence art.
