The official Shogakukan-Shueisha Productions YouTube channel has posted the first episode of the anime adaptation of Taishi Mori's Kyō no Asuka Show comedy manga. The first three-minute-long episode of the series is available for free, while later episodes will be sold through the VideoMarket website beginning with the second episode on August 27. The comedy manga runs in Monthly Big Comic Spirits and observes the private daily life of a cute, beautiful middle school girl named Asuka Kyōno.
The anime was directed and features character designs by Masashi Kudo (Bleach), and was produced by the Studio Silver Link. Masato Jinbo is credited as its series director. Arisa Noto voices Asuka, the protagonist, while Keiji Fujiwara voices her father.
A video promoting a Kyō no Asuka Show smartphone app was also posted to the channel. The app allows users to have simulated phone calls with the main character of the series.
