2 Infinite Stratos Manga to End This Summer

Kenji Akahoshi's Infinite Stratos manga (pictured right) ended in the September issue of Media Factory's Monthly Comic Alive magazine on Friday. The same issue also announced that Takuto Kon's Aiesu! (IS!) four-panel spinoff manga will end in the next issue on August 27.
Akahoshi's manga based on Izuru Yumizuru's original light novel series debuted in May 2010, and the fourth compiled volume shipped in Japan in January. The story revolves around a school training pilots to use the Infinite Stratos weapon system. The system can only be piloted by females who are selected from all over the world, except for one boy: Ichika Orimura, "the only male in the world who can use the IS."
Aiesu! launched in the magazine in December 2010, and Media Factory published the series' first compiled book volume in September 2011. The parody manga features okiura's original Infinite Stratos character designs in a super-deformed art style.
The Infinite Stratos television anime adaptation premiered in Japan in January 2011. Sentai Filmworks licensed and released the series in DVD and Blu-ray Disc complete collections in North America this past April.
