posted on by Egan Loo
Bandai Namco Games began streaming a promotional video for the EUREKA SEVEN AO Hybrid Disc project. The Blu-ray Disc has both an original video anime (OVA) and a game that is playable if put in a PlayStation 3 console.
The OVA tells a previously unseen story set between episode 8 and 9 of the ongoing EUREKA SEVEN AO television anime series. The disc also has a roundtable discussion by the voice cast and the April 2012 broadcast version of the 51st episode from the first Eureka Seven anime. The disc's limited-edition first edition adds the storyboards and script for the OVA and an "Eureka Seven Archive" booklet.
The Hybrid Disc will ship in Japan on September 20. The combination disc is priced at 10,500 yen (about US$132) and 7,980 yen (about US$100) for the limited and regular editions, respectively.
Funimation acquired the EUREKA SEVEN AO television anime series in North America, and it is simulcasting the series as it airs.
