Retailer: Japan's Giant Robo BD Set to Include English Dub

The limited-edition Giant Robo Blu-ray Disc box set includes an English dub, according to Amazon.co.jp's listing. The Giant Robo: The Animation - The Day the Earth Stood Still box set is slated for release on October 26 for the retail price of 41,790 yen (about US$527). The collection includes all seven episodes on four discs in remastered high-definition along with the anime soundtrack in a new box, featuring art by character designer and animation director Akihiko Yamashita.
Special features include interviews with Akihiko Yamashita, animation director Kazuyoshi Katayama, character designer Masami Ozone, animation director Kenji Hayama, musician Masamichi Amano, and sound director Yōta Tsuruoka; footage of the Warsaw Philharmonic Orchestra; two versions of "maboroshi no Episode 0"; footage of the sound mix process; a promotional video for the last episode; television commercials for episode 2 and the last episode; overseas promotional videos (3 Italian ones and U.S. one); a website video; Giant Robo footage from Super Robot Super Wars Alpha/64; PlayStation 2 game's promotional video; a new commercial for the Blu-ray box; and a new promotional video for the Blu-ray box.
The set also features commentary tracks with Akihiko Yamashita and Kazuyoshi Katayama (episode 3), Masamichi Amano and Yōta Tsuruoka (episode 5), Masami Ozone, and Kenji Hayama (last episode).
