Haganai Add On Disc Video Anime's Promo Streamed
posted on by Jennifer Sherman
Media Factory began streaming the first promotional video for the Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai Add On Disc video anime on Friday. The release will include the television anime's unaired 13th episode and ship on DVD and Blu-ray Disc in Japan on September 26.
The video anime's regular release will include video from the "Boku wa Tomodachi ga Sukunai (Haganai) Premium Event" on May 6, promotional videos, television commercials, and a "super picture label." Commentary from cast members Ryōhei Kimura, Nozomi Yamamoto, and Yuka Iguchi will feature on the disc. The limited edition version will also bundle an audio CD of the OVA's ending theme song "Kimi wa Tomodachi," digipak case with art from Buriki and Yoshihiro Watanabe, special booklet, and special card deck with case.
Yomi Hirasaka and Buriki's original light novels revolve around Kodaka (Ryōhei Kimura) — a half-Japanese/half-British transfer student whose delinquent-like blonde hair and fierce eyes scare people — and a seemingly perpetually sullen girl named Yozora (Marina Inoue). The two decide to form Rinjinbu, a club for misfits with hardly any friends.
The light novels already inspired a 2011 television anime series that Funimation licensed and streamed in North America. The new original video anime is different from the original anime DVD that was bundled with the seventh light novel volume last September.
