Hayarigami Horror Game's Live-Action Film Confirmed

Japanese game developer Nippon Ichi Software (NIS) confirmed at its 20th anniversary press conference on Wednesday that a live-action film adaptation of its Hayarigami ~Keishi-chō Kaii Jiken File~ horror game franchise has been green-lit. NIS CEO Sohei Niikawa laughed as he commented that the developer's goal is to get a Hollywood remake of the film.
Showbiz.jp, a website for audition information and other resources for aspiring entertainers, posted a casting call for a film adaptation of the game series. According to the casting call which ended on April 30, the producers intend to promote the film not only in Japan, but also overseas. The production was recruiting about five actors — of both genders from 3 to 65 years old — for both main and supporting roles.
