Canada Passes Copyright Legislation

The Copyright Modernization Act (also known as Bill C-11) received royal assent in Canada's Senate on Tuesday. The bill was approved by Canada's House of Commons last month. The law will "combat online content theft" and bar Canadians from bypassing digital copy protection on all entertainment products, even for personal use.
