posted on by Ko Ransom
Marmalade Boy creator Wataru Yoshizumi's Chitose etc. manga ended its serialization in this year's 15th issue of Shueisha's Margaret magazine on Thursday. The love comedy launched in the magazine in September 2009, and the seventh and final collected volume of the title is scheduled for a September 25 release.
The story of Chitose etc. centers on a girl named Chitose who lives on the southern Japanese island of Okinawa, and a Tokyo boy named Kōshō whom Chitose adores. One day, Chitose decides to follow her heart, flee Okinawa, and transfer to Tokyo. The North American publisher Tokyopop translated the classic romance manga Marmalade Boy, and Viz Media published Yoshizumi's Ultra Maniac manga. Tokyopop also released the Marmalade Boy television anime series on DVD, while Geneon Entertainment (USA) Inc. released the Ultra Maniac television anime series.
