Asian Kung-Fu Generation to Perform New Naruto Film's Theme

The Japanese rock band Asian Kung-Fu Generation will perform the theme song "Sore de wa, Mata Ashita" (Well Then, See You Tomorrow) for the new Naruto the Movie: Road to Ninja film that will open in Japan on July 28. The is the first time that Asian Kung-Fu Generation is contributing a song to the Naruto franchise since the band sang the television anime series' second opening theme song in 2003. The band will release its single with the new theme song on July 25.
Asian Kung-Fu Generation has also performed theme songs for Bleach, Fullmetal Alchemist, The Tatami Galaxy, and Tekkonkinkreet.
Asian Kung-Fu Generation released its Best Hit AKG album in the U.S. on January 17, marking the band's first stateside release. Asian Kung-Fu Generation formed in 1996 and released its first album Hōkai Amplifier in 2002.
Naruto the Movie: Road to Ninja features a story and character designs personally conceived of by Naruto manga creator Masashi Kishimoto.
The film will be the sixth Naruto Shippūden film and ninth Naruto film overall. Naruto Shippūden: Blood Prison, the fifth Naruto Shippūden film, opened in July 2011. Viz Media released the second Naruto Shippūden film, Naruto Shippūden the Movie: Bonds, in American theaters last October.
