Mini-Skirt Uchū Kaizoku Novels Get Manga Adaptation

The Asahi Shimbun newspaper's new online web manga publication will launch a manga adaptation of Yuichi Sasamoto's Mini-Skirt Uchū Kaizoku space-opera adventure novels. The new monthly online manga magazine, titled Nico Nico Asahi Comic Fantasy will launch on the Nico Nico Seiga website on June 2.
The new magazine will launch with six publications:
- Mini-Skirt Uchū Kaizoku by Yuichi Sasamoto, Hiro Tōge
- SakuraCluster by Riyo
- En Dress by Takamasa Hashimoto
- strings by Hiroyuki Kaidou
- Mistrea by Yatone Kawara
- Denshi Yuugi Mokushiroku by Matsuda
The Moretsu Uchū Kaizoku Production Committee for the Bodacious Space Pirates television anime series is collaborating with Asahi Shimbun to create the manga. The Bodacious Space Pirates television anime series adaptation of Sasamoto's novels premiered in Japan in January. Crunchyroll and The Anime Network are streaming the series in several countries outside of Japan and Sentai Filmworks will release the series on Blu-ray Disc and DVD in North America.
