Galaxy Angel's Ōtsuki Launches Girl Love Variation Manga
posted on by Lynzee Loveridge
Manga author Yūko Ōtsuki's new series Shōjo Ren-ai Hen-i (Girl Love Variation) debuted in Shogakukan's online manga website Club Sunday on Friday.
The science-fiction story takes place in a parallel world where everyone is born female — however, at a certain point, some of the females transform into males. The story centers around two young girls, the tomboyish Momoka and the timid Arisu, as their lives changes one day.
Ōtsuki previously designed the characters in the Galaxy Angel sci-fi comedy franchise and drew its manga under the pen name Kanan. She began working under the name Yūko Ōtsuki after the series Galaxy Angel II: Tenshi no Hane Yasume finished in January 2009. Her last series Warunai (Emotion) finished serialization in Shū 2 Comic! Gekkin last June.
