The second half of the new Rurouni Kenshin: Shin Kyoto-Hen anime project will be shown in 10 Japanese theaters for three weeks beginning on June 23.
While the first installment of the project was originally planned to run in two theaters for a week, its run was eventually extended for a total of three weeks. The first half of the series is currently being sold on home video in Japan, and the second half will go on sale on August 22. Various other Rurouni Kenshin projects have also been active as of late, including a "Chapter Zero" from Nobuhiro Watsuki's original Rurouni Kenshin manga that is scheduled to be published in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine in August.
