Sega West Head Mike Hayes to Leave Company This Summer
posted on by Egan Loo
Sega West President Mike Hayes will leave the company this summer, although he will retain an advisory role. He was previously a marketing director at Nintendo for its Game Boy and Super Nintendo launches, and he joined Sega in 2004. Jurgen Post, Sega West's current COO, will replace Hayes as CEO of Sega of Europe and Sega of America.
Sega Sammy Holdings announced an extensive restructuring plan in March due to "challenging economic climate" and changes in the U.S. and European video game market. It also projected a 7.1-billion-yen (about US$86 million) loss for the current fiscal year.
