Mayo Chiki! Light Novel Scheduled to End With Next Volume

According to the afterword of the eleventh and latest volume of Hajime Asano's Mayo Chiki! light novel, the next volume of the romantic school comedy series is planned to be its final installment. Hajime also refers to the current volume as the "first half of [the story's] climax," and calls the next volume the "last half."

In the school romantic comedy, Subaru Konoe is a beautiful boy who serves as a butler to a classmate named Kanade Suzutsuki. However, another boy named Kinjirō Sakamachi accidentally discovers Subaru's secret — Subaru is really a girl.

The series is illustrated by Seiji Kikuchi and started in 2009, inspiring an anime last summer. Seven Seas licensed the manga adaptation of the series earlier this year.
