Silver Diamond Manga to End in Japan in May
posted on by Jennifer Sherman
The June issue of Tosuisha's Monthly Ichi*Raci magazine will reveal on Friday that Shiho Sugiura's Silver Diamond manga will end in the next issue. Sugiura (Koori no Mamono no Monogatari) launched the fantasy romance series in the magazine in 2003.
The manga's story centers on a high school boy named Rakan who has a prolific garden. A man named Chigusa appears in the garden one day and reveals that he comes from another world where plant life has been destroyed. Rakan learns that he is a Sanome who has the power to grow plants by touching them. The pair travels to the alternate world with a group that hopes to defeat the evil Prince and make the land green again.
Silver Diamond's 25th compiled book volume shipped in Japan on December 20. From 2008 to 2011, Tokyopop released the first ten volumes in North America before closing its North American publishing division last year.
The July issue of Monthly Ichi*Raki will go on sale in Japan on May 20.
