posted on by Lynzee Loveridge
Akita Shoten will publish the third and final volume in Yuka Kayura's D.C. II ~Da Capo II~ spin-off manga A.C.D.C. II on April 20. Kayura originally launched the manga in Akita Shoten's Young Champion Retsu in August 2009. The manga tells an original story not featured in the game franchise.
To celebrate the release of the final volume, the Gamers!, Comic Zin, and Melon Books bookstores will each bundle different colored images with a message from Kakurayuka.
Kayura previously illustrated several installments in the D.C. ~Da Capo~ adult romance adventure game franchise. Adult game developer CIRCUS released the original D.C. II ~Da Capo II~ game in May 2006. The game publisher MangaGamer then released the game in English in December 2010. The third game in the series, D.C.III ~Da Capo III~ will be released on April 27.
MangaGamer has also released the D.C. ~Da Capo~ and D.C.I.F ~Da Capo Innocent Finale~ visual novel games in English.
The Da Capo franchise has also spawned about 80 anime episodes in four television series and one video spinoff.
