Tales of Vesperia Film's English Dub Cast Revealed

Funimation to release film on DVD, BD combo pack on June 26
FUNimation Entertainment announced the English dub cast for its upcoming release of the Tales of Vesperia ~The First Strike~ film on Friday.
The dub cast is as follows:
Niren — Christopher R. Sabat
Yuri — Troy Baker
Flynn — Sam Regal
Garista — J. Michael Tatum
Hisca — Trina Nishimura
Rita — Luci Christian
Merzhom — R. Bruce Elliot
Chastel — Leah Clark
Yurgis — Mike McFarland
Gradana — Barry Yandell
Estellise — Cherami Leigh
Alexei — Jason Douglas
Elvin — Scott Freeman
Raven — Jonathan Brooks
Chris — Newton Pittman
Emma — Lindsay Seidel
Pete — Micah Solusod
Hanks — Cris George
David — Josh Grelle
Ivan — Christopher Bevins
Kansuke — Ricco Fajardo
Funimation also revealed that Mike McFarland is directing the dub. Funimation streamed two extended clips of the film featuring the dub on Tuesday.
Funimation will release the film's Blu-ray Disc and DVD combo pack for US$34.98 on June 26. The company announced last April that it acquired the title's North American home entertainment, broadcast, theatrical, digital, and merchandising rights.
Production I.G's animated this theatrical film, which acts as a prequel to NAMCO's Tales of Vesperia role-playing game. Kanta Kamei (Digimon: Diaboromon Strikes Back animation director, Kill Bill Chapter 3: The Origin of O-Ren visual supervisor) directed the film, while Kōsuke Toriumi (Basilisk, Naruto) and Mamoru Miyano (Mobile Suit Gundam 00, Death Note) played the heroes Yuri and Flynn, respectively. The original game was released for the Xbox 360 console in Japan and in the United States in 2008, and the film opened in Japan on October 3, 2009.
