UniJapan Starts International Co-Production Subsidies
posted on by Kimberly Grace
The Hollywood Reporter entertainment industry news source reported on Tuesday that UniJapan, a government-supported organization for promoting Japanese films overseas, has announced a new subsidy program for international co-productions at Filmart 2012.
The subsidy is being offered through Japan's Agency of Cultural Affairs. According to the website, potential projects must include domestic and international distribution, financing from both Japan and an overseas partner, or have a Japanese party who owns or co-owns the copyright to the finished product in order to qualify.
